2023 Honda CR-V to get a more aggressive style and hybrid engine

The 2023 Honda CR-V will feature a bold new design as shown in new teaser images released by Honda recently. These images show a redesigned front and rear for the new CR-V as well as new LED headlights and taillights. Honda announced that the 2023 CR-V would have a more aggressive and muscular look, and the automaker also hinted at a possible Trailsport model which would be aimed at more rugged adventures off the beaten path.

That said, the most significant change to the 2023 Honda CR-V, at least here in Canada, is the introduction of a new hybrid model. The Honda CR-V has been offered as a hybrid inother markets, but the current generation of the model isn't offered with an electrified powertrain here in Canada right now. That is all set to change this summer when the new 2023 Honda CR-V arrives on the market. Honda did not provide any details on the hybrid engine, but we expect it to be a slightly modified version of the current 212-hp engine offered in other markets that averages under 7 L per 100 km. The current 1.5 L turbocharged four-cylinder should also be back next year, but we again expect it to be improved with more horsepower and more torque.

We also expect the 2023 Honda CR-V to get improved connectivity and safety technology as well as more interior space. Honda also hinted at the CR-V receiving significant improvements in terms of off-road capability and we expect a Trailsport model to be added to the lineup. Ultimately, the 2023 Honda CR-V will be better than ever, and we can't wait to see what Honda has in store this summer.
