Honda’s reputation for reliability puts the 2024 Honda Prologue ahead of the competition. Add to that the vehicle’s host of impressive features, and it is sure to be the strongest EV that any interested driver should consider.

The spacious and adventure-ready Prologue promises to advance the electrification strategies of Honda with its top-of-class standard and available tech features. All Prologues feature a comprehensive suite of Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technologies. Additional key standard features include:

  • 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels
  • Google built-in
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility
  • Wireless phone charger
  • 10-way power driver seat with adjustable lumbar support
  • Heated front seats
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Sirius XM satellite radio

The Prologue EV will be powered by two electric motors, one on each axle, which will provide all-wheel drive and a projected range of over 482kms on a single charge.

Comprehensive Charging Solutions
Recharging on the go is quick and convenient with DC fast charging at rates up to 150 kW. Prologue’s 85kWh lithium-ion battery pack is designed to recharge over 100 kms of range in about 10 minutes5. With the new HondaLink® Smartphone App, Prologue owners can find available public stations.

Canadian Prologue models come standard with a portable charging kit that includes an adapter for Level 1 charging using standard 120V home outlets and a Level 2 adapter that plugs into 240V outlets used for appliances for faster charge speeds of up to 35km of range each hour6 (but not the same high-speed power output as a permanently installed Level 2 home charger).

For Canadian customers, Honda.ca will offer easy and seamless home charging solutions. Prologue customers will find a network of pre-vetted local installers through the support of dedicated Expert Energy Advisors, who will help select the home charging solution that fits best. More information on how clients can order and install home energy solutions will become available closer to the Prologue’s delivery date.

The Prologue will have a generous interior, which will provide ample space for passengers and cargo. Showcasing a tech-rich cabin, the Prologue will have a standard fully digital 28cm driver display panel and a 28.7cm audio/connectivity display.

All models will be available with Google Built-in.  This includes the Google Assistant and Google Maps, as well as a selection of connected apps and services through Google Play. Drivers who still prefer to use Android Auto won’t need a USB cable. Ditto for those who rely on Apple CarPlay.

When it comes to Google Maps, look for optimized route planning that takes into account charging stations along the way to minimize travel time. Google Maps can also estimate the charging time required to reach the destination and initiate preconditioning of the battery when the destination is a DC fast charging station.

Deliveries of the 2024 Honda Prologue are set to begin early in the 2024 calendar year and supply will initially be limited. The Prologue will be available in an exclusive North Shore Pearl exterior color which was inspired by the natural beauty and colors near Lake Tahoe in California. Moreover, the visual of freshly fallen snow on the mountains was used to inspire the exclusive charcoal and light gray interior color.

"Our goal was to create a clean harmony based on a rugged SUV image by coordinating the colors and materials to express neo-rugged design styling that’s familiar to our customers and uniquely Honda," said Masaki Sumimoto, design lead for the Color, Materials, and Finish.

To further build the Honda EV brand identity, the "H-mark" badge on the rear of the vehicle is replaced with the full Honda brand name in a stylized typeface that captures the modern and clean design of the Prologue. In addition, to align with Honda’s global EV models, Prologue will adopt the brand’s e: series name badging.

With muscular 21-inch wheels and a wheelbase on par with our other rugged vehicles, this fully electric SUV is equipped with some sizeable capability.

Prologue’s generous dimensions and roomy interior position the SUV alongside the Passport in Honda’s light truck lineup. This zero-emissions truck will have a wheelbase of 309cm and is about 20cm longer and 12.7cm wider than the all-new 2023 Honda CR-V.
