Honda is slowly giving us more information about the next generation of its Honda CR-V compact SUV. The new model which will be revealed on July 12th follows the redesigned 2023 Honda HR-V which was introduced earlier this month. This is the year of the SUV for Honda, and the new generation of the CR-V promises to be one of the most exciting events on the automotive calendar this summer.
As is usually the case with Honda, the automaker did not provide too many details on the redesigned CR-V. We do know, however, that it will be offered with a new hybrid powertrain which will be offered in North America for the first time. We also expect it to be more spacious, something that Honda confirmed today when it released the first image of the new CR-V interior.
We see a brand-new cockpit complemented by a digital instrument cluster as well as a clean and pure style that remind us of the new Civic. The interior design is both elegant and functional with most of the controls and functions being found within a new center touch screen. We really like the look of the new CR-V interior which blends retro touches with modern materials. We also like the design of the seats, which again has a small retro feel to them, but you can tell that they are wrapped in very high-quality leather.
The new 2023 Honda CR-V should pack more technology and connectivity features as well. However, we will have to wait to learn more about these as Honda did not provide more details. We also expect a new Honda CR-V to offer more interior space and more cargo space as well.
